Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Umā
Role: liberating
It highlights Shiva’s core function as Pati (the Lord) whose primary act toward beings is anugraha—grace that removes bondage and enables both worldly well-being and liberation.
By praising the ‘five forms’ as divine and grace-giving, the verse supports Saguna worship—approaching Shiva through accessible manifestations (including the Linga) as a direct means to receive anugraha.
Contemplate Shiva as the giver of anugraha while doing japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and offering simple Linga-puja (water, bilva leaves), praying for inner purification and liberation.
