أغني هو القوّة المُبهِجة للقلب، الدائمة اليقظة، التي تدفع الذبيحة وتحميها. إنّ الثناء (ستومة) يوقظ أغني ويُقوّيه—كمن يحثّ جوادًا—ليغدو كراتو (الذكاء/الفاعلية القربانية) نافذًا ويجلب الرخاء. وتُمدَح اليقظة (جاغارا) بوصفها صفةً إلهيةً تجتذب الرِكّ والسامان وتجمعهما نحو الحضور المستيقظ؛ أمّا سوما فيقدّم ذاته طوعًا ويصادق ذلك الحضور اليقظ. وفي الخاتمة تُستَحضَر أبڤا بوظيفةٍ طاردةٍ للشرّ لردّ الأعداء، وصرف العداوة عبر الظلمة، وإحراق الغمّ الذي يتهدّد الطقس.

مُضِلًّا عقولَ هؤلاءِ (الأعداء)، انتزعْ أطرافَهم، يا أپڤا؛ اخرجْ عليهم، تقدَّمْ واهجمْ؛ أحرِقْهم بأحزانٍ في القلوب؛ ولْيُحَطِ الأعداءُ بظلامٍ أعمى.
