يتتبع هذا النشيد الوجيز شديد الرمزية حركة «بقرة» متألقة ذات ضياء متنوع الألوان—تُقرأ غالبًا بوصفها الفجر أو إشراق سوريّا—تخطو أمام الأم (الأرض) وتمضي إلى الأب (السماء). ثم يصوّر القدرة الكونية التي «تزفر وتستنشق»، كاشفةً السماء بحركة إيقاعية، ويبلغ ذروته في رؤيا «الطائر» الشمسي (پتَنْغا) الذي تُثبَّت فيه فاك (الكلمة)، فيسطع عبر عوالم كثيرة عند كل فجر وكل نهار.

आयं गौः पृश्निरक्रमीदसदन्मातरं पुरः । पितरं च प्रयन्त्स्वः ॥
هذه البقرةُ المتلألئةُ ذاتُ الألوانِ من النور قد تقدّمتْ وجلستْ أمامَ الأم؛ وتمضي قُدُمًا إلى الأب، نحوَ العالَمِ المضيءِ (سْفَهْ).

अन्तश्चरति रोचनास्य प्राणादपानती । व्यख्यन्महिषो दिवम् ॥
يسيرُ في داخلِ مَجالِه المضيء، زفيرًا وشهيقًا؛ وقد أظهرَ الجبّارُ العظيمُ السماءَ للعيان.

त्रिंशद्धाम वि राजति वाक्पतंगाय धीयते । प्रति वस्तोरह द्युभिः ॥
في ثلاثين مقامًا يتلألأ؛ وتُوضَع «فاك» (الكلمة) في مسار الطائر المجنّح—فتستجيب لكل فجرٍ ونهارٍ بأنوارها.

In Vedic poetry, the cow often symbolizes nourishing abundance and rays of light. Here the “variegated cow” is a vivid image for dawn or solar illumination that ‘gives’ vision and life.
