Maruts

تستدعي هذه الترتيلة الغاياترية الوجيزة الماروتات ليُقبلوا بإشراقٍ ميمون، وليهبوا عونهم الحيّ الحامي. وتسألهم أن يطردوا بعيدًا المقذوفات المعادية والضربات الساحقة، وأن يُنقّوا المحيط كما يُزال كُتَلُ العشب الساقط، لكي ينهض العابد «صعودًا» إلى الحياة والعافية.

चित्रो वोऽस्तु यामश्चित्र ऊती सुदानवः । मरुतो अहिभानवः ॥
ليكن مسيرُكم مُشِعًّا، ومُشِعًّا عونُكم، أيها الماروتُ الكرماء، يا من لمعانُكم كوميضِ الحيّة.

आरे सा वः सुदानवो मरुत ऋञ्जती शरुः । आरे अश्मा यमस्यथ ॥
ليكن بعيدًا عنكم، أيها الماروتُ الكرماء، ذلك السهمُ المُحْمَرّ؛ وبعيدًا اطرحوا الحجرَ الضارب—ولتُدفَعِ الضربةُ المعاديةُ عن سبيلِنا.

तृणस्कन्दस्य नु विशः परि वृङ्क्त सुदानवः । ऊर्ध्वान्नः कर्त जीवसे ॥
الآن، كما يُزالُ تراكُمُ العُشبِ المتساقط، كذلك أنتم، أيّها الأسخياء، نقّوا ما حولَنا؛ ارفعونا إلى العُلوّ لأجلِ الحياة—وأقيموا كيانَنا على السَّبيلِ الصاعد.
