The Slaying of Indrajit
तदैन्द्रमस्त्रंसौमित्रिःसम्युगेष्वपराजितम् ।शरश्रेष्ठंधनु: श्रेष्ठेविकर्षन्निदमिब्रवीत् ।।।।लक्ष्मीवान् लक्ष्मणोवाक्यमर्थसाधकमात्मनः ।
tad aindram astraṃ saumitriḥ saṃyugeṣv aparājitam |
śaraśreṣṭhaṃ dhanuḥśreṣṭhe vikarṣann idam abravīt ||
lakṣmīvān lakṣmaṇo vākyam arthasādhakam ātmanaḥ ||
حينئذٍ إنَّ ساوميتري (لاكشمانا)، الميمون الحظّ الساعي إلى إنجاز مقصده، جذب على قوسه الفائق أكرمَ سهمٍ—سلاحَ إندرا الذي لا يُقهَر في المعارك—ثم قال هذه الكلمات.
Son of Saumithri, that prosperous Lakshmana, drawing Indra's missile, the foremost one, and also the best of arrows, which has never been defeated, spoke these words set to achieve the purpose.
