فلما خوطب رافانا الملك على هذا النحو من مَهَابَارْشْفَا، سُرَّ بكلامه وقال هذا الجواب.
Ravana, the king of Rakshasas feeling happy about the statement of Mahaparsva, spoke these words.
It shows how a ruler’s choices are shaped by the counsel he welcomes. Dharma values sādhūnām upadeśa (good counsel); accepting adharma-oriented advice accelerates downfall.
The text transitions from Mahāpārśva’s provocative counsel to Rāvaṇa’s response, marking Rāvaṇa’s approval of that line of thinking.
The implied virtue is discernment in leadership—choosing righteous advisors; Rāvaṇa is portrayed as lacking this discernment.
