रावण–रामयुद्धप्रारम्भः
The Intensification of the Rama–Ravana Duel
सिंहव्याघ्रमुखांश्चापिकङ्ककाकमुखानपि ।।6.100.41।।गृध्रश्येनमुखांश्चापिशृगाववदनांस्तथा ।ईहामृगमुखांश्चापिव्यादितास्यान् भयावहान् ।।6.100.42।।पञ्चास्यान् लेलिहानांश्चससर्जनिशितान् शरान् ।
siṃhavyāghramukhāṃś cāpi kaṅkakākamukhān api || 6.100.41 ||
gṛdhraśyenamukhāṃś cāpi śṛgālavadanāṃs tathā |
īhāmṛgamukhāṃś cāpi vyāditāsyān bhayāvahān || 6.100.42 ||
pañcāsyān lelihānāṃś ca sasarja niśitān śarān |
وأطلق سهاماً حادّةً بدت رؤوسُها كوجوه الأسود والنمور، وكوجوه الحدآت والغربان، وكوجوه النسور والصقور، وكذلك كوجوه بنات آوى—مفزعةً، أفواهُها فاغرةٌ على اتّساعها. ثم أرسل أيضاً سهاماً كالأفاعي، ذاتَ خمسِ أفواه، تَلْعَقُ بألسنةٍ متلظّية، رهيبةَ المنظر.
Arrows having lion and tiger face, buzzards and red geese face, eagles and falcons faced, in the same way arrows with jackals' face, wolves' face, terrible with mouth wide open five headed serpent like fearful sharp arrows were released by Ravana.
