Description of the Pushpaka Vimana and Ravana’s Inner Palace
अन्या वक्षसि चान्यस्यास्तस्याः काचित्पुनर्भुजम्।अपरा त्वङ्कमन्यस्यास्तस्याश्चाप्यपरा भुजौ।।5.9.61।।
anyā vakṣasi cānyasyās tasyāḥ kācit punar bhujam |
aparā tv aṅkam anyasyās tasyāś cāpy aparā bhujau || 5.9.61 ||
كانت إحداهنّ مستلقيةً على صدرِ أُخرى؛ وأخرى تعود فتستند إلى ذراعِها. وأخرى نامت في حِجرِ امرأةٍ غيرها، وأخرى اتخذت ذراعَيها سندًا.
Some women lay placing their arms on the breasts of the other while their own arms were used as pillow by another. One woman placed her head on the lap of the other and slept.
The verse reinforces the setting of intoxicated intimacy; dharma is highlighted by contrast—Hanumān’s mind remains governed by truth and duty rather than being drawn into voyeurism or distraction.
Hanumān continues his careful survey, seeing women asleep in interdependent, overlapping postures.
Single-pointedness (ekāgratā) in service of a righteous mission.
