त्वच्छोकविमुखो रामो देवि सत्येन ते शपे।।।।रामे दुःखाभिभूते तु लक्ष्मणः परितप्यते।
tvacchokavimukho rāmo devi satyena te śape |
rāme duḥkhābhibhūte tu lakṣmaṇaḥ paritapyate ||
يا سيدتي، أقسم لكِ بالحقّ نفسه: إنّ راما، وقد صرفه الحزن عليكِ عن كلّ شيء، قد استبدّ به الأسى استبدادًا؛ ولاكشمانا أيضًا يحترق كمدًا إذ يرى راما مغلوبًا بالحزن.
'O divine lady! I swear to you on my truthfulness, that out of grief for you Rama is not interested in anything else and Lakshmana is deeply afflicted because Rama is overhelmed with grief.
