सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
कर्तुमर्हसि रामस्य साहाय्यं विषये सती।अथवा मैथिलीं दृष्ट्वा रामं चाक्लिष्टकारिणम्।।।।आगमिष्यामि ते वक्त्रं सत्यं प्रतिशृणोमि ते।
kartum arhasi rāmasya sāhāyyaṃ viṣaye satī | athavā maithilīṃ dṛṣṭvā rāmaṃ cākliṣṭakāriṇam || āgamiṣyāmi te vaktraṃ satyaṃ pratiśṛṇomi te |
«ما دمتِ تقيمين في سلطانِ راما، فحقيقٌ بك أن تُعينِي أمرَ راما. وإلا فإني، بعد أن أرى ميثِلي وأرفع الخبرَ إلى راما الذي لا يكلّ في فعله، سأعود فأدخل فمَك؛ أعدُك بهذا وعدَ صدق.»
"I told her that it is proper for her (living in the domain of Rama) to help his queen and wife. Or else, I promised after I disclose to Rama, Sita's whereabouts, I will come and enter her mouth.
