Auspicious Omens Arise for Sita
भुजश्च चार्वञ्चितपीनवृत्तःपरार्थ्यकालागरुचन्दनार्हः।अनुत्तमेनाध्युषितः प्रियेण चिरेण वामः समवेपताऽशु।।5.29.3।।
bhujaś ca cārvañcitapīnavṛttaḥ parārthyakālāgarucandanārhaḥ | anuttamenādhyuṣitaḥ priyena cireṇa vāmaḥ samavepatāśu ||5.29.3||
وكذلك ذراعُها اليسرى—جميلةُ الانثناء، ممتلئةٌ مستديرة، جديرةٌ بأطيب العودِ والآغرو وطيبِ الصندل—وقد كانت منذ زمنٍ موضعَ اتكاء حبيبها الذي لا نظير له، فإذا بها ترتجف فجأةً ارتجافًا سريعًا.
Her stout left arm curved beautifully, fit for excellent agaru and sandal paste once the pillow by her beloved lord for long, throbbed suddenly.
Hope aligned with righteousness: the omen is narrated as a support for the virtuous, reinforcing perseverance in satya and dharma.
A second auspicious sign appears on Sītā’s body, suggesting the nearness of reunion with Rāma.
Constancy in love and vow—her devotion remains unchanged, and the narrative marks it with auspicious signs.
