अशोकवनिकायां सीतादर्शनम्
Sita Seen in the Ashoka Grove
तां समीक्षय विशालाक्षीं राजपुत्रीमनिन्दिताम्।तर्कयामास सीतेति कारणैरुपपादिभिः।।।।
tāṃ samīkṣya viśālākṣīṃ rājaputrīm aninditām |
tarkayāmāsa sīteti kāraṇair upapādibhiḥ ||
وبعد أن تأمّل تلك الأميرة الواسعة العينين، التي لا عيب فيها، استدلّ بعلاماتٍ راسخة وقال حاسمًا: «إنها سيتا».
After close observation of different signs and deliberation with reasons he came to the conclusion that the large-eyed lady is the same blameless princess Sita.
Satya grounded in pramāṇa (reliable signs): righteous action must rest on verified knowledge, not impulse—Hanumān ethically validates identity before proceeding.
In the Aśoka grove, Hanumān finally sees the captive woman and, by checking identifying signs, concludes she is Sītā.
Viveka (discernment): calm reasoning and evidence-based certainty in service of duty.
