दुन्दुभिवधप्रसङ्गः
The Dundubhi Episode and the Proof of Rama’s Prowess
इमं हि सालं सहित स्त्वया शरोन संशयोऽत्रास्ति विदारयिष्यति।अलं विमर्शेन मम प्रियं ध्रुवंकुरुष्व राजात्मज शापितो मया4.11.92।।
imaṁ hi sālaṁ sahitas tvayā śaro na saṁśayo 'trāsti vidārayiṣyati |
alaṁ vimarśena mama priyaṁ dhruvaṁ kuruṣva rājātmaja śāpito mayā ||
سهمك المصوَّب حقًّا سيشقّ هذه الشجرة الشالا لا ريب في ذلك. كفى تردّدًا؛ افعل ما يسرّني يقينًا، أيها الأمير، فإني كأنما مُقيَّدٌ بعهدي.
'O Dear, therefore, I have my doubt about your relative strength. If you can split a sala tree with a single arrow then can your strength or weakness be demonstrated.
