Siddhashrama and the Vāmana Narrative
एष पूर्वाश्रमो राम वामनस्य महात्मन:।।1.29.3।।सिद्धाश्रम इति ख्यातस्सिद्धो ह्यत्र महातपा:।
adyaiva dīkṣāṃ praviśa bhadraṃ te munipuṅgava |
siddhāśramo 'yaṃ siddhaḥ syāt satyam astu vacas tava || 1.29.29 ||
«ادخل اليومَ نفسه في طقس الدِّيكشا (dīkṣā)، أيها المتقدّم بين الحكماء؛ ليكن لك الخير. ليبلغ هذا السِّدّهاشرَما كمالَ التحقّق، ولتصدق كلمتُك.»
"O Rama! this was the hermitage of glorious Vamana. The great sage her performed his ascetic pratices here, hence it is known as siddhashrama.

Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa encourage Viśvāmitra to begin his dīkṣā, expressing a blessing that his intention and words succeed.
