فلما رأى الربّ أن تلك الخليقة ناجحة وفعّالة، تصوّر خليقةً أخرى؛ وبينما كان يتأمّل، انبثقت خليقةُ ذوي «المجرى الأفقي» أي الحيوانات.
Narrator (Purāṇic narration describing the Lord’s act of creation)
Concept: Creation proceeds in ordered streams; the Lord evaluates and continues sarga, bringing forth animal life as a distinct current—implying gradations of consciousness and responsibility.
Application: Recognize ‘streams’ in your own life—habits, instincts, social currents. Guide them consciously toward sattva and devotion rather than letting them run horizontally as mere impulse.

‘Tiryak-srotas’ literally means “those whose current/flow is horizontal,” a Purāṇic way of classifying animal life that moves and lives oriented along the horizontal plane, contrasted with other streams of beings in creation taxonomy.
Creation unfolds in stages: after observing one effective phase of manifestation, the Lord wills a further phase; through contemplation (abhidhyāna), another category of beings—here, animal life—emerges.
The verse frames creation as intentional and ordered, arising from divine contemplation; it encourages viewing living beings as part of a purposeful cosmic structure rather than as random or accidental.
