FAQs

It centers on a mantra-like salutation to Nārāyaṇa, followed by reverential salutations to divine qualities/personifications—Peace (Śānti), Affection (Prīti), Delight, and Prosperity (Śrī/Lakṣmī).

By framing devotion as repeated namas (salutations) and by honoring both the deity (Nārāyaṇa) and the divine virtues associated with spiritual life—peace, love, joy, and auspicious prosperity.

The verse implies that devotion is not only worship of God but also cultivation and reverence for inner virtues—peacefulness, loving disposition, and auspiciousness—seen as sacred powers aligned with Nārāyaṇa.
