आजिघ्रंती वचाऽन्योन्यं पुष्पशाखावतंसकाः । नागवृक्षाः क्वचित्पुष्पैर्द्रुमवानीरकेसरैः

ājighraṃtī vacā'nyonyaṃ puṣpaśākhāvataṃsakāḥ | nāgavṛkṣāḥ kvacitpuṣpairdrumavānīrakesaraiḥ

كانوا يتشمّمون بعضهم بعضًا بعطر الـvācā (القصب العطري)، ويتزيّنون بأكاليل وزينة للأذن من أغصان مزهرة؛ وفي مواضع كانت أشجار النّاغا متوَّجة بالأزهار، تحمل عناقيد من خيوط تشبه غبار الطلع.
