Application: Receive teachings through reliable lineages, study in sequence (yathā-kramam), and prioritize śravaṇa and faithful retelling without distortion.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Type: forest
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"In a forest hermitage assembly, Sūta sits on a kusa-grass seat, palm-leaf manuscript in hand, addressing attentive sages. Behind him, a visionary vignette shows Vyāsa answering Jaimini beside a riverbank, linking the spoken present to the remembered past through a luminous thread of tradition.","primary_figures":["Sūta","Vyāsa","Jaimini","assembled ṛṣis"],"setting":"Naimiṣāraṇya forest sabhā with sacrificial fire, deer-skin seats, and manuscript bundles; a secondary ‘memory scene’ of Vyāsa-Jaimini in the background.","lighting_mood":"forest dappled","color_palette":["sage green","bark brown","manuscript tan","fire ember orange","sky pale blue"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Sūta as central narrator with gold-leaf aura, seated before a small yajña fire; rows of sages with expressive eyes; inset panel of Vyāsa and Jaimini in dialogue; ornate borders, rich reds and greens, gold embossing on manuscripts and firelight.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: tranquil forest assembly with delicate foliage and refined faces; Sūta gesturing as he narrates; a soft, cloud-like inset of Vyāsa teaching Jaimini; cool greens, gentle browns, fine brushwork and lyrical composition.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, stylized forest and fire altar; Sūta speaking with rhythmic hand gesture; Vyāsa-Jaimini inset framed like a temple panel; strong earthy reds/yellows/greens, mural symmetry and iconic eyes.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: narrative mandala with Sūta at center, sages in concentric arrangement; floral borders and manuscript motifs; a small inset of Vyāsa and Jaimini; deep blue-green ground with gold linework and lotus accents."}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"narrative","suggested_raga":"Bhairavi","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"authoritative","sound_elements":["crackling sacrificial fire","forest birds","rustling leaves","soft drone (tanpura)","occasional bell"]}
Sandhi Resolution Notes:
It establishes the frame of transmission: Sūta is recounting, in sequence, what Vyāsa answered to Jaimini, grounding the chapter as an inherited narration.
Sūta explicitly states he is speaking what he heard from his guru, highlighting authoritative lineage (paramparā) as the basis for Purāṇic teaching.
It implies disciplined, faithful teaching—presenting sacred knowledge carefully and sequentially, without distortion or haste.
