Sandhi Resolution Notes:
The verse is narrated in third person, but it states that the pṛthivīpatiḥ (the king) speaks again to his sons after hearing them.
Joy is highlighted through harṣeṇa (“with joy”), and its intensity is shown by ākula-mānasaḥ (“with a mind overwhelmed/agitated”), indicating happiness so strong it disturbs composure.
It portrays attentive listening (ākarṇya) followed by a thoughtful response, suggesting that leadership and family guidance begin with hearing others fully before speaking.
