Unspecified in the provided excerpt (context needed from surrounding verses to attribute reliably).

Concept: Material care (snāna, vastra, āhāra) must be paired with guṇa-śikṣaṇa and sad-vidyā; true parenting integrates body, character, and knowledge.

Application: Provide necessities reliably, but also cultivate habits: truthfulness, restraint, compassion, study, and devotion; choose education that builds character, not only status.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Beside this, the same child is guided toward a teacher and a small circle of students, with the parent’s hand gently directing him toward a shelf of sacred texts—signaling that nourishment culminates in virtue and learning.","primary_figures":["Parent/guardian","Young son","Teacher (ācārya)","Students (optional)"],"setting":"Household courtyard transitioning into a small gurukula veranda; water pot, folded garments, simple food offerings, palm-leaf manuscripts","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["brass gold","coconut white","turmeric yellow","peacock blue","earthy terracotta"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: opulent yet grounded domestic-gurukula transition—brass vessels and textiles rendered with gold leaf highlights, parent presenting the child to an ācārya, manuscripts and altar details embellished, rich reds/greens, gem-like ornamentation emphasizing dharma as sacred wealth.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: gentle everyday realism—bath and meal objects finely detailed, then a serene teacher-student veranda, cool blues and warm yellows, refined faces, soft landscape hints, emphasis on virtue through calm composition.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, stylized brass pot and folded cloth, parent guiding child toward an ācārya, natural pigments with red/yellow/green dominance, temple-wall gravitas applied to education as sacred rite.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: ornate floral borders and lotus motifs framing a two-part narrative—nourishment and instruction—deep blue ground with gold accents, devotional textile sensibility suggesting that education is an offering to the divine."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes:

FAQs

It highlights basic care—bathing/cleanliness, clothing, food (edibles and meals), and drinks—indicating responsible provision for a child’s well-being.

The verse stresses that material provision is not sufficient; a parent/guardian should also cultivate virtues (guṇa) and guide the child into sound learning (sadvidyā).

It frames Dharma as holistic responsibility: sustaining the body through necessities while shaping character and intellect through virtues and right knowledge.
