दृष्ट्वा शूकरपौरुषं यमतुलं मेने पतिर्वावराड्देवारिं मनसा विचिन्त्य सहसा वाराहरूपेण वै । संप्रेक्ष्यैव महाबलं बहुतरं युक्तं त्वरेर्वारणं सैन्यं कोलविनाशनाय सहसा संगृह्य संगृह्यताम्

dṛṣṭvā śūkarapauruṣaṃ yamatulaṃ mene patirvāvarāḍdevāriṃ manasā vicintya sahasā vārāharūpeṇa vai | saṃprekṣyaiva mahābalaṃ bahutaraṃ yuktaṃ tvarervāraṇaṃ sainyaṃ kolavināśanāya sahasā saṃgṛhya saṃgṛhyatām

لمّا رأى بأسَ الخنزيرِ الذي لا يُضاهى كبأسِ يَما، تفكّرَ سيّدُ ڤاڤاراد، عدوُّ الدِّيفات، في قلبه على عَجَلٍ واتّخذَ حقًّا هيئةَ ڤاراهَا. ولمّا أبصرَ أنّ جيشَ الخصمِ عظيمٌ شديدُ القوّة، أمرَ مسرعًا: «لتُجمَعِ القوّاتُ—لتُجمَعْ حالًا—لإهلاكِ الخنزير!»
