Concept: Śuśrūṣā is defined as that service from which anugraha (grace) arises; dharma is complete when accompanied by its supports (aṅgas).

Application: Do service in a way that ‘invites grace’: attentiveness, punctuality, cleanliness, and a non-demanding heart; measure success not by praise but by increased humility and steadiness.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

FAQs

Śuśrūṣā here means attentive, devoted service—especially the kind of respectful attendance that leads to receiving anugraha (grace).

It defines true service as that practice in which grace naturally arises—implying that humility and sincere attendance become a cause or condition for divine or guru’s favor.

Sāṃga dharma means dharma taught along with its “limbs” or supporting practices—i.e., not only principles, but also the practical disciplines that sustain them.
