सत्येन वायुर्वहति सत्येन ज्वलते शिखी । सत्या धारमिदं सर्वं जगत्स्थावरजंगमम् ॥ ८७ ॥
satyena vāyurvahati satyena jvalate śikhī | satyā dhāramidaṃ sarvaṃ jagatsthāvarajaṃgamam || 87 ||
بالحق تهب الرياح، وبالحق تشتعل النار. وهذا العالم كله - ثابته ومتحركه - قائم على الحق كأساس له.

It presents satya (truth) as a cosmic principle: the elements function and the universe remains stable because truth underlies dharma and ṛta (order). Spiritual life therefore begins with truthfulness as an essential vrata of conduct.
Bhakti is sustained by integrity: truthful speech, sincere intent, and consistent conduct. The verse implies that devotion without satya lacks the very support that holds spiritual practice steady.
It aligns with Dharmaśāstra-oriented discipline rather than a technical Vedāṅga procedure: satya is treated as a foundational niyama (ethical observance) that supports ritual reliability and mantra practice through truthful intention and speech.
