The Classification and Explanation of Yakṣiṇī Mantras
Kālī and Tārā Vidyās
māyayā madiśaṃ kṣiptvā khaṃ yoniṃ ca pradarśayet | tatra vṛttāṣṭaṣaṭkoṇaṃ dhyātvā devīṃ viciṃtayet || 105 ||
Narada (teaching a technical ritual-visualization procedure within the Vedanga/technical sciences section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents a disciplined inner-and-outer method: forming a sacred diagram (circle, yoni, hexagon/eightfold structure) and then fixing the mind on the Devi, showing that visualization (dhyāna) and symbolic form (yantra) work together to concentrate consciousness.
Bhakti here is expressed as focused upāsanā: the devotee prepares sacred symbols and then contemplates the Goddess with single-pointed attention, turning ritual form into heartfelt remembrance and presence of the deity.
It highlights technical ritual know-how—mantra-bīja handling and yantra geometry used in worship—showing a procedural, applied side of sacred learning aligned with kalpa-style practice (ritual method).
