The Account of Hanumān
nimaṃtritau pituḥ śrāddhve ṣaṭekulāśca dvijottamāḥ | ayodhyāyāṃ samājagmuste tu sarve nimaṃtritāḥ || 27 ||
Suta (narrating the episode within the Purana’s dialogue framework)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It emphasizes dharmic precision in śrāddha—inviting qualified Brahmins and performing the rite in an orderly, respectful manner—so that offerings meant for the Pitṛs are properly sanctified.
While not a direct bhakti teaching, it supports devotional life by showing that honoring sacred rites and worthy guests (dvijas) is itself a form of reverence that sustains dharma, which in turn stabilizes bhakti practice.
It reflects Kalpa/Vedāṅga-style ritual order: correct invitation of officiants/guests for śrāddha, selection of qualified dvijas, and proper convening for the ancestral rite.
