Narada (narrating within the Adhyaya’s instructional account)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes disciplined bodily control as a support for inner steadiness—showing that mastery of posture and movement can serve higher sādhanā by training focus and restraint.
While the verse is primarily technical and yogic, invoking Śaṅkara frames the practice as sacred: disciplined effort can be offered with reverence, making physical sādhana an aid to devotional concentration.
This passage aligns with the Narada Purana’s Book 1.3 technical orientation—practical instruction (prayoga) and disciplined method, akin to auxiliary sciences that systematize practice, even when not explicitly naming a single Vedāṅga.
