शुद्धभूमौ समास्थाप्य भौमे दीपं प्रदापयेत् । मालामनूनां ये वर्णाः साध्यनामसमन्विताः ॥ २२ ॥
śuddhabhūmau samāsthāpya bhaume dīpaṃ pradāpayet | mālāmanūnāṃ ye varṇāḥ sādhyanāmasamanvitāḥ || 22 ||
وبعد أن يُوضَع على أرضٍ مُطهَّرة على الوجه اللائق، تُوقَدُ السِّراجُ على الأرض. وتُستَعمَلُ حروفُ (varṇa) مَنترا الإكليل (mālā-mantra) مقرونةً باسم السادهيا (sādhya: الإله المقصود أو الغاية المنشودة) في هذا الطقس.
