This verse is the chapter-colophon: it seals the completion of a teaching unit and preserves the textual hierarchy (Bhāga–Pāda–Vibhāga–Adhyāya), emphasizing that the preceding material is an integrated upāsanā (devotional practice) instruction within the Purāṇic tradition.
While not giving a new doctrine, it identifies the chapter’s theme—“Rāma and others’ worship”—thereby framing the preceding content as bhakti-oriented upāsanā, i.e., disciplined devotion expressed through remembrance, praise, and prescribed modes of worship.
It mainly reflects technical textual organization rather than a specific Vedāṅga rule: it situates the chapter in Book 1.3 (the Vedāṅga/technical-sciences pada), helping readers index and retrieve ritual and procedural teachings accurately within the Purāṇa.
