muniriṃndurvirāṭ chando devatā dadhivāmanaḥ | tāro bījaṃ tathā śaktirvahnijāyā prakīrtitā || 2 ||
Narada (teaching in a Vedanga/ritual-technical context; traditional dialogue framework with Sanatkumara lineage assumed for this section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It codifies the mantra’s identifying limbs—ṛṣi, chandas, devatā, bīja, and śakti—so the recitation is aligned with its correct spiritual channel and potency, which is essential in Narada Purana’s ritual-technical teachings.
Bhakti is strengthened when worship is performed with proper mantra-prayoga; by naming the devatā (Dadhivāmana) and the energizers (Oṃ and Svāhā), the verse shows how devotion is made precise and effective through Vedic method.
It highlights chandas (metre-science) and mantra-vidhi conventions used in ritual manuals: specifying the mantra’s ṛṣi, metre, deity, seed syllable (Oṃ), and śakti (Svāhā) for correct application.
