वर्णलक्षं जपेन्मन्त्रं तद्दशांशं च पायसैः । घृताक्तैर्जुहुयाद्वह्नौ पीठे पूर्वोदितेऽचयेत् ॥ ४५ ॥
varṇalakṣaṃ japenmantraṃ taddaśāṃśaṃ ca pāyasaiḥ | ghṛtāktairjuhuyādvahnau pīṭhe pūrvodite'cayet || 45 ||
ينبغي أن يُكرِّر المرءُ المانترا حتى يبلغ لَكْهًا (مئة ألف) من المقاطع؛ ثم يقدِّم عُشرَ ذلك العدد قُربانًا في النار من حلوى الأرزّ باللبن (باياسا) ممزوجة بالسمن (غي)، ويضع القربان المُعَدَّ على المذبح/البيثا المقرَّر سلفًا.
