Narada (as transmitter of sacred names/attributes within the Narada Purana’s instructional dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents a sequence of divine epithets that function like a stotra/japa-list: each name points to a specific power (vastness, thunder-voice, cloud-hue, fierce radiance), training the mind to contemplate the deity through precise attributes.
Bhakti here is practiced through nāma-smaraṇa (remembering the Lord by names). Repeating and reflecting on these attributes stabilizes attention, evokes reverence, and turns devotion into a disciplined contemplative act.
The verse models Vedanga-like precision in naming (semantic nuance of compounds such as kṛtānta-tīvra-tejasa) and supports mantra practice where correct sound and meaning (śabda-artha) are both essential.
