Narada (teaching a technical mantra-prayoga within Vedanga/ritual science context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It emphasizes rakṣā (spiritual protection): a properly applied mantra acts like armor, neutralizing hostile influences, inner disturbances (dvandvas), and fear-causing forces.
While technical in tone, it supports bhakti indirectly: protection and steadiness help the practitioner maintain japa, vrata, and worship without being shaken by obstacles or fear.
Mantra-prayoga used in ritual applications—especially kavaca (protective formula) and the use of ‘phaṭ’ as a repelling syllable in warding rites.
