FAQs

It presents Mars (Kuja/Aṅgāraka) through sacred epithets, framing Jyotiṣa as a Vedāṅga where reverent remembrance and mantra-recitation are used to harmonize planetary influences and support wellbeing.

Bhakti here appears as devotional remembrance (nāma-stuti): honoring a cosmic power through its divine names, cultivating faith, discipline, and reverence—often integrated with broader Vaiṣṇava practice in the Purāṇa.

Jyotiṣa (Vedic astrology): the verse lists recognized names of Mars used in stotra/mantra contexts, with a stated prayoga-phala (practical result)—relief from illness—typical of Purāṇic astrological remedies.
