Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a technical-ritual context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It prescribes a disciplined sādhana sequence—japa followed by homa—showing that inner repetition (japa) is sealed by sacrificial offering (homa), culminating in focused propitiation of a specific cosmic force (Kuja/Mars).
Bhakti here is expressed as precise ritual devotion: sustained mantra-repetition, reverent fire-offerings, and respectful worship at a Śaiva pīṭha—channeling devotion into regulated practice rather than mere sentiment.
It highlights applied ritual science and jyotiṣa-style remedial practice: prescribed japa-counts (lakṣa), the daśāṃśa rule for homa, and specific samidh selection (khadira) for a graha-oriented rite.
