दुर्जनेष्वपि सत्वेषु दयां कुर्वन्ति साधवः । नहि संहरते ज्योत्स्नां चन्द्र श्चाण्डालवेश्मनः ॥ १२३ ॥
durjaneṣvapi satveṣu dayāṃ kurvanti sādhavaḥ | nahi saṃharate jyotsnāṃ candra ścāṇḍālaveśmanaḥ || 123 ||
حتى تجاه الأشرار يُظهر الصالحون رحمة؛ فالقمر لا يحجب ضياءه حتى عن بيت الشاندالا.

It defines a key sādhu-lakṣaṇa (mark of the saint): impartial compassion. Like moonlight that falls everywhere, true virtue does not shrink due to another’s impurity or hostility.
