बाह्याभ्यन्तरभेदेन शौचं तु द्विविधं स्मृतम् । मृज्जलाभ्यां बहिः शुद्धिर्भावशुद्धिस्तथान्तरम् ॥ १०० ॥
bāhyābhyantarabhedena śaucaṃ tu dvividhaṃ smṛtam | mṛjjalābhyāṃ bahiḥ śuddhirbhāvaśuddhistathāntaram || 100 ||
الطهارة (śauca) تُذكر على أنها نوعان: خارجية وداخلية. فالطهارة الخارجية تكون بالتراب المُطهِّر والماء؛ وأما الطهارة الداخلية فهي تنقية البهافا (bhāva): صفاء النية وحال القلب.
