हेम्ना वा रजतेनापि वृद्धिश्राद्धं प्रकल्पयेत् । अन्नेन कारयेद्यस्तु स चंडाल समो भवेत् ॥ ६ ॥
hemnā vā rajatenāpi vṛddhiśrāddhaṃ prakalpayet | annena kārayedyastu sa caṃḍāla samo bhavet || 6 ||
ينبغي إعداد «فِرِدّهي-شرادها» بالذهب أو حتى بالفضة؛ أمّا من أقامه بالطعام وحده فَيُعَدّ كالقَنْدَالَة (منبوذًا).

It stresses that Śrāddha is not merely feeding, but a dharmic rite requiring proper dakṣiṇā and prescribed materials; neglecting the injunction degrades the performer’s ritual standing.
By implying that sincere reverence (śraddhā) must be expressed through correct, respectful ritual conduct; devotion is not sentiment alone but disciplined adherence to dharma in acts offered with purity.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is foregrounded: the verse gives a rule about the proper mode of conducting vṛddhi-śrāddha and the necessity of appropriate dakṣiṇā rather than a minimal substitute.
