Dvādaśī-vrata: Month-by-month Viṣṇu Worship and the Year-End Udyāpana

Narada (teaching vrata and worship procedure, in dialogue context with Sanatkumara tradition)
Vrata: none (part of a Dvādaśī/Vaiṣṇava worship regimen implied by surrounding verses)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes that ritual offerings (like milk-abhiṣeka) become spiritually potent when joined with bhakti, and that sustained attentiveness—jāgara with trikāla worship—deepens the vow’s sacred focus.
Bhakti is made primary: the bathing of the Lord is not presented as mere ceremony, but as an act explicitly to be done “bhakti-saṃyutaḥ,” supported by continuous remembrance through vigil and repeated daily worship.
Ritual time-keeping and procedure are highlighted: trikāla-arcana requires correct division of the day (kāla-viveka) and disciplined performance of worship sequences—practical liturgical knowledge used in Purāṇic vrata-vidhi.
