Dharmopadeśa-Śānti: Rules of Impurity, Expiations, and Ancestor Rites
श्मशाने शौचशेषे च न ग्राह्याः सत्प मृत्तिकाः । इष्टापूर्तं तु कर्त्तव्यं ब्राह्मणेन प्रयत्नतः ॥ ६४ ॥
śmaśāne śaucaśeṣe ca na grāhyāḥ satpa mṛttikāḥ | iṣṭāpūrtaṃ tu karttavyaṃ brāhmaṇena prayatnataḥ || 64 ||
في موضع الحرق، وحين تبقى نجاسةٌ بعد طقس التطهير، لا تُؤخَذُ الطينةُ المقدّسةُ المخصّصةُ للاستعمال الطاهر. بل على البراهمن أن يجتهد في أداء «إِشْطَة» و«بُورْتَة»—وهي أعمالُ البرّ من الذبائح والعبادات، ومن المنافع العامة والإحسان.
