FAQs

It declares that true liberating knowledge (jñāna) culminates in mokṣa and specifically ends punarāvṛtti—any return to saṃsāra—marking complete freedom.

While the verse speaks directly of jñāna, it supports the Narada Purana theme that the highest realization is rare and transformative; in the broader Purana, such realization is commonly stabilized through devotion to the Supreme, which ripens into liberating knowledge.

No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is discerning the goal—mokṣa—and prioritizing the inner discipline that yields rare jñāna beyond mere ritual skill.
