Narration of Dharma
kṣīrādyaiḥ snāpayedyastu ravisaṅkramaṇe harim | sa vasedviṣṇusadane trisaptapuruṣaiḥ saha || 43 ||
Narada (teaching in dialogue context with the Sanatkumara tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It links a time-marked rite—Hari’s abhiṣeka at the Sun’s saṅkramaṇa—with a high fruit: residence in Viṣṇu’s abode, extending merit to one’s lineage (tri-sapta, 21 generations).
Bhakti is expressed through loving service (seva) in the form of abhiṣeka to Hari; the promised fruit emphasizes Viṣṇu-centered devotion as a direct means to Viṣṇu-loka.
Jyotiṣa (Vedic astronomy/astrology) is implied through “ravi-saṅkramaṇa,” the calendrical moment of the Sun’s transit used to time vratas and worship.
