من إشراق الشمس الذاتي، وهي تسير في أقسام البروج ابتداءً من الحمل، يُفهَم الأثر بحسب «اللَّغْنَة» (الطالع): في البيوت الستة وفي الأصناف الثمانية الأخرى، ومع العوامل المصاحبة التي تبدأ بالـنَّكشَترا؛ وهكذا يُعيَّن برج الطالع.
