Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within a Vedanga-style technical passage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents disciplined, rule-based time-reckoning as part of dharma: correct calendrical knowledge supports right observance of vows, rites, and sacred timings, which in turn stabilizes spiritual practice.
Indirectly: by teaching accurate computation of years and sub-units (months, etc.), it safeguards proper observance of vrata and worship-times—practical supports that sustain steady Vishnu-bhakti in daily life.
Jyotiṣa Vedāṅga (astronomy/astrology and calendrics): converting values into Kali-era counts, handling remainders, and scaling by twelve for subsidiary time divisions used in ritual scheduling.
