Narada (teaching in the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes that a vow is spiritually effective when it is completed with discipline (niyama) and concluded with reverence—turning ritual completion into a mindful act that yields auspicious results (uttama saubhāgya).
By prescribing namaskāra (bowing) and orderly completion of observances, it frames vrata as a devotional discipline—humility, reverence, and faithful adherence to sacred procedure are treated as bhakti expressed through action.
Ritual procedure and correct completion (a kalpa-style concern) is highlighted: the verse stresses niyama, proper closure, and respectful transitional acts—key practical elements in vrata-vidhi.
