yeṣāṃ rāṣṭre pure grāme kriyate śāṃtiruttamā | nīrājanābhidhā vipra tadrogā yāṃti saṃkṣayam || 50 ||
يا أيها البراهمي، في أي مملكة أو مدينة أو قرية تُقام فيها طقوس التهدئة العليا المسماة نيراجانا، فإن الأمراض التي تصيب ذلك المكان تذهب إلى الزوال.
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: Nīrājana-śānti (uttamā śānti)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents Nīrājana as an ‘uttamā śānti’—a high-grade pacificatory rite whose dhārmic performance restores harmony in a community, leading to the decline of collective afflictions such as disease.
Though framed as a śānti-ritual result, it assumes reverent, faith-filled performance (śraddhā and auspicious intention) for the welfare of all—an applied form of bhakti expressed as service and prayer for societal well-being.
It highlights Kalpa (ritual procedure) within the Vedāṅgas—specifically śānti-prayoga (pacification rites) conducted for public protection and the mitigation of disease.
