Narada (in instruction/reporting mode within the Narada Purana’s teaching framework)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that ritual purity (snāna), austerity (upavāsa), and inner discipline (jitendriya, samāhita) together make worship of Viṣṇu spiritually effective—not mere external performance.
Bhakti here is expressed as reverent, orderly worship of Viṣṇu done with śraddhā (faith) and a steady mind; devotion is shown through both loving intent and disciplined practice.
It reflects kalpa-style ritual procedure: performing acts “vidhivat” (by rule), emphasizing correct observance of preparatory rites like bathing, fasting, and maintaining mental focus during pūjā.
