Suta (Suta Ugrasravas) summarizing the Narada Purana’s contents (Anukramanika style)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It functions as an Anukramanika (table-of-contents) verse, signaling that the Purana will treat cosmic order through Agni (sacrificial power), Kala (Time as a governing principle), righteous royal lineages (Priyavrata), and the structured universe (earth’s measured expanse).
Indirectly: by framing the cosmos—Agni (yajña), Kala (divine governance), and dharmic dynasties—as arenas where devotion is practiced and protected; later sections typically connect such order to worship and service of the Supreme.
The verse points toward Purāṇic cosmology and calendrical awareness: discussion of Kala supports time-reckoning used in ritual timing (linked to Jyotiṣa), while Agni’s “victory” relates to yajña-centered ritual theology.
