Purāṇa
छंदः शास्त्रं सदाचारस्ततः स्नानविधिः स्मृतः । तर्पणं वैश्वदेवं च संध्या पार्वणकर्म च ॥ १६ ॥
chaṃdaḥ śāstraṃ sadācārastataḥ snānavidhiḥ smṛtaḥ | tarpaṇaṃ vaiśvadevaṃ ca saṃdhyā pārvaṇakarma ca || 16 ||
ثم تُذكَر: عِلم أوزان الفيدا (chandas)، وسُنَن السلوك القويم (sadācāra)؛ ثم أحكام الاغتسال المقرَّرة؛ وكذلك طقوس التَّرْبَنَة (tarpaṇa) بسكب الماء قربانًا، وقربان الفيشفاديفا (Vaiśvadeva)، وعبادة السَّندْهيا (Sandhyā)، والأعمال المؤدّاة في أيام البَرفَن (Parvan) عند مفاصل القمر المقدّسة.
