Secondary Rasa: bhakti
This verse functions as an Anukramanika (topic index), pointing the reader toward specific sacred narratives, doctrinal discussions (like śakti-bheda), and tīrtha-māhātmyas—showing that Purāṇic study is both devotional and map-like, guiding practice through topics and holy places.
By listing revered sections and tīrthas (starting with Oṁkāreśa), it frames bhakti as sustained remembrance and hearing/recitation (kīrtana, śruti-kīrtanam) of sacred traditions, alongside pilgrimage and engagement with Purāṇic teachings.
Rather than a direct Vedāṅga lesson, the verse highlights Purāṇic methodology: structured cataloging of topics (anukramanika) and the practice-oriented mapping of tīrthas—useful for planning vows, pilgrimages, and recitation cycles within Narada Purana rituals.
