एतन्निशम्य वचनं कलहंसीसमीरितम् ।
उवाच चक्रवाकी तां नातिविस्मितमानसा ॥
etan niśamya vacanaṃ kalahaṃsī-samīritam | uvāca cakravākī tāṃ nāti-vismita-mānasā ||
فلما سمعتِ القَولَ الذي نطقت به الكالا-هَمْسِي (kala-haṃsī)، أجابتْها التشاكرافاكي (cakravākī)، ولم يكن خاطرُها شديدَ الدهشة.
